Theme Day | Wednesdays
Theme Days are a rich part of YMCA Camp Ihduhapi tradition. Campers (and counselors!) get wildly creative, dress-up and spend the day on theme-related activities, including all-camp games such as Counselor Hunt, Capture the Flag, or Trench. Theme Day may also include a dance, carnival or floating campfire. And its sleep-in day (one extra hour!). Plan ahead and bring a costume and accessories to compliment your Theme Day!

Traditional Camp | Ages 8 14
Traditional Camp is a great way for kids to spend a week full of many of their favorite camp activities. Campers choose four Achievement options, and will spend an hour on each Achievement activity every day. Wednesdays are Theme Day, and are filled with special theme-related fun.
Summer Samplers | Ages 7 14
Summer Samplers are special sessions for kids to try out overnight camp for the first time! During this three night experience, campers have the opportunity to enjoy cabin life in the great outdoors along with many Traditional Camp activities. This is a wonderful introduction to the unique experience that overnight camp provides. Note: Sampler Sessions 4, 7 and 9 are 4-days and 3-nights only.
Achievement Options
Specialty Camp participants spend two consecutive hours in specialty areas. They will also register for two Achievement Options. Traditional Camp participants choose four Achievement Options which are one hour each.

Specialty Camp Choices
Specialty Camps give campers an opportunity to spend more time on their favorite camp activities while still having a traditional camp experience. Specialty Camp activities take place for two hours each day. Campers also choose two Achievement Options to participate in for another two hours of program time.

Camp Superkids | Asthma Camp
Camp Superkids is an exceptional summer experience where children with moderate-to-severe asthma learn how to manage their asthma while being active, meeting new friends, and just being kids. Horse Camp | Ages 8 14
Our Horse Camp is perfect for beginner riders! Campers learn basic horse care, riding safety, and techniques such as mounting, dismounting, and controlling the horse. Weather permitting, campers will spend two consecutive hours each day at the Ranch for riding and instruction. They will also go on trail rides through the Ihduhapi forest during the week.

Water Skiing Camp | Ages 10 14
Campers will learn boating etiquette, water ski equipment care, and how to get up on skis from deep water. Camp can also be a great place to hone water skiing skills such as cutting in and out of the wake or dropping a ski. On the last day, everyone will have a chance to relax and hit the water for some tube rides.

Sailing Camp | Ages 9 14
Sailing Camp is a great waterfront adventure program for campers who want to learn about sailing and develop basic sailing skills. This program teaches the basic sailing knots, equipment care, and sailing terminology to help campers succeed in learning to rig and sail a boat.

Young anglers in Fishing Camp will learn the basics of fishing including how to tie the perfect knot and how to handle the fish once it is landed. The highlight of Fishing Camp is the trip to Mille Lacs Lake. Campers will board the half-day boat charter to attempt to catch the elusive big one! Bait, rods, and tackle are provided by Ihduhapi. Campers may also bring their own equipment.

Outdoor Challenge Camp (Ropes) | Ages 10 14
Outdoor Challenge Camp combines Camp Ihduhapis renowned High Ropes Challenges, Low Ropes Initiatives, and excellent facilitators to create an opportunity for campers to strengthen their character and learn group cohesion skills. Some of the high events campers may participate in include the Climbing Wall, the Leap of Faith, the Giant Zip, the High Vs, the Giants Ladder, and Ewok Village.

Bridge/Naniboujou Session | Ages 8 14
The Bridge session combines Sessions 9 and 10 for a 13-day camp experience. This combination of two, full-week long sessions and the weekend in between is known as the Naniboujou session. Extra activities planned for these special campers that may include tie-dying t-shirts, movie and popcorn night, and Wolf Pack!

Teen Extreme | Age 12 14
This fast paced, fun adventure program combines a variety of exciting outdoor excursions! Single gender groups leave Camp Ihduhapi for the day and return at night to stay in their own cabins. Some groups may have the opportunity to camp out at a state or national park for one night. Weather permitting, campers will enjoy the thrills of activities such as rock climbing, a guided cave tour, trail hiking or a guided kayak tour.

Leadership Development Programs
Our Leadership Development Programs develop the whole person spirit, mind and body through a variety of activities, projects and team-building exercises. These valuable lessons will last a lifetime. Campers will learn leadership skills built upon the YMCAs core values of Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility.
Explorers | Canoeing | Entering 8th Grade
This 6-day program introduces kids to the wonderful adventures of a river trip! The program starts with campers getting to know each other and practicing canoeing skills in camp. The next three days are spent paddling down a river after which groups cook their own meals and sleep in tents. This is a great trip for campers to learn outdoor skills and team building during their explorations! Groups are single-gender.
Voyageurs | Hiking | Entering 9th Grade
This is an exciting 13-day program for kids who want to experience the challenge of camping outdoors and working as part of a team! The first few days are spent at camp focusing on group dynamics and team building. Groups then travel to Camp Menogyn and spend the next five days on a backpacking trail expedition with an experienced Menogyn Wilderness Guide. After their time on trail Voyageurs return to Camp Ihduhapi and participate in activities with an emphasis on supporting younger campers. Groups are co-ed.
Junior Leaders | Canoeing | Entering 10th Grade
This is a 13- day leadership immersion program for teen campers who would like to develop their leadership and camping skills in the great outdoors! Groups are co-ed. The first few days are spent at camp focusing on leadership and service training. The next six days are spent on a canoeing adventure in northwest Wisconsin. Campers are involved in planning their daily schedule, including the trip route and meals, with the guidance of trained Trail Guides.
Counselors in Training | Canoeing | Entering 11th Grade
This 3-week program is for teens who would like to develop mentoring and leadership opportunities as Camp Counselors! Groups are co-ed. CITs build counseling skills by working together on team building and leadership skills necessary in guiding younger campers. Activities start on site at Camp Ihduhapi and then travel to Camp Menogyn where they spend five days paddling the lakes with a trained Menogyn Wilderness Guide. The last week is spent at Camp Ihduhapi applying their new skills by shadowing experienced counselors in a cabin of younger campers.
